Central Michigan Chippewas College Football Info

The 2018 season poses a big challenge for Head Coach John Bonamego with just 10 returning starters this season. After finishing 8-5 SU and 7-6 ATS last year, the Chippewas will have to replace a veteran quarterback and much of the offensive line if they wish to return to their 5th consecutive bowl game. They'll also have to make stark improvements if they want to win a bowl game as well, as the team has lost their last four post-season appearances including their most recent in the 2017 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, where they were dusted by Josh Allen and the Wyoming Cowboys 37-14.

Amongst their alumni are notable NFL stars like Joe Staley, Antonio Brown, Frank Zombo and former 2012 first overall pick Eric Fisher. The Chips also won a Division II National Championship in 1974 before being promoted to the top league in college football.
  • Conference Championships:1979, 1980, 1990, 1994, 2006, 2007, 2009
