Kent State Golden Flashes College Football Info

Playing in the Mid-American Conference out of Dix Stadium in Ohio, Kent State has been a lower tier contender throughout its existence. They have a lone conference championship from 1972 and have only played in two bowl games - the 1972 Tangerine Bowl and the 2012 Bowl. They lost both games.

Their most well known alumni include head coach Lou Holtz and current Alabama head coach Nick Saban. They've also produced several well-known NFL players such as Julian Edelman, Antonio Gates, Hall of Famer Jack Lambert and Joshua Cribbs.

The 2018 Golden Flashes return under rookie Head Coach Sean Lewis this year looking to improve over the 2-10 SU and 4-8 ATS season last year. With 7 returning starters on the offense and 6 returning starters on the defense, there is major hope for improvement while also rebuilding. Lewis plans to bring with him an up tempo, high scoring offense in his first season as a head coach.
