The 2-3 Philadelphia Eagles host the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday Night Football, set for kickoff at 8:20 p.m. ET at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Eagles enter as a 6.5-point home underdog, as they confront a 4-1 Bucs team that just embarrassed the Miami Dolphins, 45-17, in Week 5.

Philly is also coming off a surprise road victory over the 3-2 Carolina Panthers, who held the Eagles to just 88 yards of offense in the first half and built a nine-point lead at the break.

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was the catalyst for the team's second-half turnaround, as he ran for a pair of touchdowns to lift Philly to a 21-18 win.

In Week 6, he'll need to rely more on the passing game to keep the Eagles in this matchup.

The Buccaneers defense ranks first in the league against the run, but are dead last in passing yards surrendered.

The weaknesses in Tampa Bay's secondary may open the door for Philly to spring an upset win at home.

Let's see how the public is betting the moneyline, point spread, and totals, at TwinSpires Sports ahead of the Bucs vs. Eagles on Thursday Night Football.

Bettors are feeling extremely confident in a Bucs road win on Thursday, as seven-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady faces the Eagles for the eighth time in his career.

Brady has lost twice to the Eagles — once in a 2015 regular-season matchup and once in the Super Bowl to Nick Foles in 2018.

In his last meeting in 2019, during Brady's final season with the New England Patriots, he defeated Philly, 17-10, on the road.

More than 90% of all tickets and handle are on Tampa Bay to win outright against an Eagles team that has never beaten Brady inside Lincoln Financial Field.

Bettors are also siding with Tampa Bay to win by seven or more points as a road favorite.

The Bucs are 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall but 1-4 ATS in their last five games when favored on the road.

Only 11% of tickets and 17% of handle are on the Eagles to cover the 6.5-point spread, but Philly is 4-0 ATS in its last four home games and 5-1 ATS in its last six Thursday games.

The underdog is also 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings between these two teams.

The public also anticipates a decent amount of scoring on Thursday, as 90% of all handle is on the Over (52.5 points).

The Over has hit in four of Tampa Bay's last five games overall and five of the last six meetings between these teams, while the Under is 4-1 in the Eagles' last five games against the NFC.

The Bucs own the league's best passing offense (349.4 yards per contest) but will go up against the third best pass defense in the NFL.

Tampa Bay also ranks third in points scored (33.4), while the Eagles average 23 points per game.

Both teams surrender an average of 24 points per outing.
