The Ultimate Kansas City Chiefs Quiz
On Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs will play for their second straight Super Bowl title and third in franchise history.
The storied squad, founded in Dallas in 1960, is 2-1 in three appearances in the big game, with the team’s only loss in a Super Bowl occurring in the very first one. Green Bay won that contest 35-10 in 1967.
Now in 2021, the Chiefs are one win away from becoming the next NFL dynasty. Last year’s Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes has the Chiefs’ high-flying offense running like a well-oiled machine, while the defense has taken a huge step forward from last season’s performance.
To hoist the Lombardi Trophy for a second straight year, Kansas City must defeat six-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on their home field, Raymond James Stadium.
The Chiefs and Bucs already met once this season — in a 27-24 win for K.C. – while Mahomes is 2-2 against Brady in four career head-to-head matchups. Three of those games, and two of those losses for Mahomes, came against Brady while he played for the New England Patriots.
Should Mahomes get the better of Brady in Super Bowl LV, he will become the first quarterback to win two Super Bowls at age 25 or younger. If Brady comes out on top, he'll become the oldest quarterback (age 43) to earn a Super Bowl ring.
As for Andy Reid — now in his eighth season in Kansas City — a win would hand him his second Super Bowl title in three appearances as a head coach.
The history set to be made at Super Bowl LV doesn't stop there. But before we watch it unfold, let’s first test your knowledge of the Chiefs' celebrated past.
