Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia heads to MetLife Stadium to face the rival Giants who are desperate for a victory. The Eagles are coming off two consecutive losses, and have now dropped three games in the last month of football. Can Philadelphia get back on the winning track? Or, will New York add another loss to the Eagles’ record? Check out analysis, odds, and a free pick for NFL Week 6 Thursday Night Football betting!

NFL WEEK 6 THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL BETTING Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants Thursday, Oct. 11 – MetLife Stadium – 8:20pm ET Odds: Eagles -3 (44)

Eagles Offense vs Giants Defense Based on their past couple of games, New York can’t stop anybody. Looks can be deceiving, though. Opposing quarterbacks only throw for 229.4 yards per, ranking the Giants 8th in the NFL against the pass.

Eagles quarterbacks average 253 yards, meaning Philly's deficiency plays into a Giants’ strength. Where the Eagles might have an advantage is on the ground, where a committee of running backs has averaged 110.8 yards per game. They've lost Jay Ajayi for the year, but the Giants are excessively vulnerable on the ground. The edge here goes to Philadelphia, but it's only by a tight margin.

Edge: Eagles

Giants Offense vs Eagles Defense New York rallied against the Carolina Panthers in Week 4 to only lose by 2 points, 31-33. Although the offensive rally was impressive, it doesn’t mean that the Giants will have success against Philadelphia as dogs in Week 6 Thursday Night Football betting.

The Eagles hold opponents to 66.4 yards on the ground and 20.8 points on the scoreboard. Philadelphia should play a Cover 2 all game because the Giants have a terrible rushing attack, despite the presence of Rookie of the Year favorite, Saquon Barkley. That gives the edge to the Eagles’ defense.

Edge: Eagles

Week 6 Thursday Night Football Betting Analysis and ATS Prediction The line opened Philadelphia -2.5. No action on the Giants has shifted the line up to Eagles -3. Even at the higher spread, most NFL handicappers favor the Eagles to cover.

The trends also favor the Eagles:  Philadelphia is 13-6-1 ATS in the last 20 meetings, and Eagles are 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings in New York. The Giants are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games and 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games following an ATS win.

If the trends favoring the Eagles weren’t enough, Philadelphia’s got their backs to the wall while the Giants rally in Week 4 was less impressive given a second look. They scored on some big, desperate plays and there just isn't enough consistency from them to warrant support on the betting line. The Eagles should win and cover.
