The rail will be set at 6 meters in an effort to stay off the worst part of the track, and sunny skies the past few days should dry out the track so it won’t be heavy like last week.

The Queen of the Turf (G1) is a $1-million race for fillies and mares going a mile. GYPSY DIAMOND had no shot from post 16 two starts back and was blocked for clear running in the straight. She came back here to win a group three last out on a heavy track going this distance and draws well with James McDonald back aboard. RED TRACER is a versatile mare that has won on all sorts of ground. She won a group 2 stake in her 2014 debut then was a good third behind APPEARANCE going 6 1/2 furlongs. She had no shot in the Chipping Norton Stakes (G1) against males three weeks ago and has won three times on this course. CATKINS has been heavily bet in her past four starts. Another versatile filly that can win on any ground.

Lucky 7’s strategy: $21 win Gypsy Diamond, $7 exacta box Gypsy Diamond, Red Tracer, Catkins.

Pari-Mutuel wagering strategy: Win/place bet on Gypsy Diamond and exactas with Red Tracer and Catkins over Gypsy Diamond.

The Australian Oaks (G1) is for 3YO fillies going 1 ½ miles for $1 million. MISS SELBY is a New Zealand shipper that won a group three going 2100 meters two starts back. She was a good second in a blanket finish last out in the New Zealand Oaks (G1) and should have no trouble with the added distance with her stout pedigree. LUCIA VALENTINA is the heavy morning line favorite and she has a devastating kick when she’s on her game. She relished the heavy going two weeks ago when she passed 14 horses in the stretch last out and will flying again. ZANBAGH was a sharp winner two starts back in a group three going a mile then raced evenly last out going ten furlongs. Daughter of BERNARDINI just missed last year at similar distance in the Victorian Oaks (G1) when she raced up near the lead.

Lucky 7’s strategy: $21 win Miss Selby, $7 exacta box Miss Selby, Lucia Valentina, Zanbagh.

Pari-Mutuel wagering strategy: Win/place bet Miss Selby.

The Sydney Cup (G1) is a two-mile handicap for 3YO and up for $1 million. WHO SHOT THEBARMAN is an improving 5YO gelding that is in career form. He won a group two going 1 ½ miles two starts back then came back to win the Auckland Cup (G1) last out in New Zealand going this distance. He picks up seven pounds but loves the distance. HIPPOPUS is a son of HIGH CHAPARRAL that was a good second two starts back going ten furlongs on heavy ground then weakened late last out in a group two. He gets in light with Jim Cassidy riding for Gai Waterhouse. TUPAC AMARU is named after the last Inca King of Peru and rallied strong to miss by a neck last out in a group one stake on heavy ground. TREMEC was a good third two starts back in a group three stakes race going 12 furlongs then was second here last week. He has to overcome post 17 but love anything by ZABEEL going marathon distance.

Lucky 7’s strategy: $21 win Who Shot Thebarman, $7 exacta Who Shot Thebarman over Hippopus, Tupac Amaru and Tremec, $7 exacta  Hippopus, Tupac Amaru and Tremec over Who Shot Thebarman.

Pari-Mutuel wagering strategy: Weight brings many of these together. Win bet Who Shot Thebarman. Trifecta box Who Shot Thebarman, Hippopus, Tupac Amaru and Tremec.

The Queen Elizabeth Stakes (G1) is the world’s richest ten-furlong race on the turf with a $4 million purse run at weight-for-age conditions. Last week, trainer Chris Waller swept the Doncaster Mile (G1) with his runners taking the top four positions. He has five entered for this but we’ll try to beat him. IT’S A DUNDEEL makes his farewell start off a terrific workout and looks like he has put his foot problems behind him. He was a good second behind the red-hot SILENT ACHIEVER and draws the rail today. SILENT ACHIEVER has been dominating lately with three straight group one wins. She has handled many of these on good and heavy ground and draws well. BOBAN won a group one stake two starts back going a mile then rallied some in the Chipping Norton Stakes (G1) going short. Son of Bernardini is a question mark going ten furlongs but he has plenty of class.

Lucky 7’s strategy: $21 win It’s a Dundeel, $7 exacta It’s a Dundeel with Silent Achiever and Boban

Pari-Mutuel wagering strategy: Straight exactas It’s a Dundeel with Silent Achiever, Boban and Carlton House.
