The Sydney Autumn Carnival continues at Rosehill Gardens on Friday evening (North American time) with a nine-race card highlighted by the Tancred (G1) for older horses the Vinery Stud (G1) for 3-year-old fillies, both over 1 1/4 miles.

There are several other group races on the card, which begins at 9:30 p.m. (EDT). You can watch and wager at, with Rosehill the "Australia B" option.

Race 2 (10:10 p.m. EDT)

This Group 3 for juveniles over 7 furlongs could see a breakout performance from #7 I AM SWERVING (6-1), who makes his third appearance under silks in this spot. Although still a maiden, he followed up a second in his Canterbury debut with a solid third in the Pago Pago (G3) over this course going 6 furlongs. He hopped slightly at the start and lost a little position on the turn, but in the straight worked his way off the rail, split rivals, and grinded his way to finish just two lengths behind Prague, a previous Group 3 winner and subsequently sixth in last week's Golden Slipper (G1).

Forward progress is expected from I Am Swerving and the additional ground should also benefit him.

Race 3 (10:50 p.m. EDT)

#5 ZEBROWSKI (4-1) at first glance might seem out of place in this edition of the Tulloch (G2). Although he's won two straight, they were merely victories in a maiden race and an entry-level handicap, both in the 7-8 furlong range.

What makes him intriguing stretching out to 1 1/4 miles is his pedigree. His Group 1-placed dam, Polish Princess, has already reared three group winners. One was Polish Knight, who captured this race in 2012.

At this writing the Rosehill course was listed as "Soft 7," conditions similar to what Zebrowski as won over earlier this month. The upside he possesses makes him the play.
