Australian racing picks for Hawkesbury and Rockhampton
There are three Australian Thoroughbred venues and two Aussie harness racing tracks available for BetAmerica horseplayers tonight.
Here are a couple picks to get your night of Aussie racing action started!
Trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, this son of Sebring has had two runs back off a long layoff and both have been encouraging.
His last run was just seven days ago, so he’s on the quick backup. You generally have to respect the barn when it runs a horse twice within seven days.
Fast Melody looks better placed here than his last two runs, and he managed to hit the board both times. He’ll be fitter for those runs and can break his maiden tonight.
The biggest danger is #7 Let Me Think if you’re placing box exactas.
Genoa beat the favorite of this race, #1 Srini, when the pair met last time out at Rockhampton. It was a pretty commanding win, too.
The main reason Srini will start the favorite is the weight swing in his favor, but I still don’t think he’ll be able to rundown Genoa.
Genoa made his first start off a layoff last time out, so he will be fitter and should get a soft lead. I think we’ll get about 2-1, and that looks like value.
