There’s three Australian Thoroughbred meetings and a harness racing venue for BetAmerica horseplayers to sink their teeth into tonight.

They don’t often race at Yeppoon, a country track in tropical far North Queensland, but it’s always a great atmosphere at the course when they do.

Here’s a pick at Yeppoon, and another at the New South Wales venue Wyong to get your night of Down Under action underway.

Yeppoon Race 1: No. 1 Natural Emperor

Natural Emperor is an extremely consistent, free-running filly who has been absolutely flying in her five career starts to date.

She returned from a layoff earlier in the month with a solid third at Rockhampton, and gave every indication that this will be another winning campaign. In her debut campaign, she won twice and hit the board in every race.

The horse is two-for-three over the distance and two-for-two when classified as the favorite.

She will likely settle off the pace tonight and with any luck, be too powerful down the stretch.

Wyong Race 2: No. 8 Write On

The blinkers come off for the first time on this Mark Newnham-trained gelding following a disappointing run as the odds-on favorite last out.

On that occasion, it was more than three weeks between runs for Write On, and tonight he backs up within 10 days, which should play in his favor.

He will strip fitter for his previous runs and with leading jockey Josh Parr aboard, can make amends for his last start.

Good luck!
