Australian Racing – A (Kilmore)

Tuesday's racing at Kilmore will see a handful of maiden races for 3yr old and upwards start the card off. With not much really being presented in preparation for the better racing to follow in the new year, these are best left alone.

I’ll definitely be looking to later in the day for what I believe will be the best chance of filling my pockets with some smart punting to be had in the last 3 races.

Race 6 - PLATINUM CITI and HANDSOME KNIGHT should be the two who go forward and hustle for the early lead. SUITE SUCCESS commands respect judging by her last start when fourth at Seymour narrowly beaten, so it makes sense to expect a solid showing. DR BROCK is resuming from a spell, but his first-up record is impressive, surely pointing to him being wound up for this race.

CALL ON KEVIN was workman like last start right here at this track and distance, he has also won two of his five starts at this track and distance and has drawn to get the run of the race, if the track is favouring front running he will be hard to beat. OCEANUS was nice in winning his maiden, he could easily measure up here.

RACE 6 SELECTIONS –  Suite Success, Call On Kevin, Oceanus

Race 7 - FLASH CADILLAC will jump from a perfect barrier here and given he easily beat a similar field at this track and distance last time, there is no reason to believe he won’t repeat the dose! He has won three of his four starts at this track and distance, damning statistics for his competitors.

BEYONDAGOLDENDREAM indicated last start at Mornington that he is closing in on a win, he is a definite chance here today. UMATILLA GIRL has to get consideration, she is lightly raced, the mare resumed from a spell last start at Sale and came in for solid support to start favourite at the jump. She was far from disgraced in her efforts to finish second.

SELECTIONS – Flash Cadillac, Umatilla Girl, Beyondagoldendream

Race 8 - LITTLE HERO is the one to beat. This boy is at peak fitness and showed last start at Pakenham that he is right where he should be to win this race. He travelled wide for most of that run and still worked hard to finish a close second. A repeat of that effort will see him in the finish. MOLON LAVE resumed from a spell with a hard fought win last start at Mornington, no reason he cannot repeat the dose here. CHEEKY ROZAY has been around the pace her last few starts and she charged home the most recent, she’s a chance.

SELECTIONS – Little Hero, Cheeky Rozay, Molan Lave
