Bawina sits first on the also-eligible list for the Filly & Mare Turf (G1), but if fellow Wertheimer homebred Impassable opts for her first preference in the Mile (G1), she'll get her chance in the 1 3/16-mile prize. While the Carlos Laffon-Parias filly is also in the Mile, as her second preference, this spot would likely play more to her strengths.

A useful sophomore of 2014 when winning the Prix de Lieurey (G3) and Prix de Bagatelle, and performing creditably when unplaced in two French classics and the Prix du Moulin (G1), the daughter of Dubawi has raised her game this season.

Bawina reappeared with a victory in the May 1 Prix du Muguet (G2), with Esoterique back in third:

Next seen in the July 10 Falmouth (G1) at Newmarket, Bawina rallied from an unfavorable position for fourth (click link for replay). She earned her first Group 1 placing when third in the Prix Rothschild (G1) at Deauville:

Bawina came agonizingly close to a top-level laurel in the Prix Jean Romanet (G1), only to be outdueled:

Last time out, Bawina was a subpar sixth to Esoterique in Newmarket's Sun Chariot (G1).
