BC Internationals: Filly & Mare Turf contender Queen's Jewel

Queen's Jewel is one of three Filly & Mare Turf (G1) pre-entrants for Wertheimer et Frere, along with the Carlos Laffon-Parias duo of Impassable (first preference in the Mile [G1]) and Bawina (first on the AE list for this race).

Trained by Freddie Head, Queen's Jewel has raced in the vicinity of 1 1/4 miles in each of her five starts. She began her career with a March 10 victory at Saint-Cloud:

 

The daughter of Pivotal and Safari Queen returned to the same venue to capture the Prix Penelope (G3):

 

Queen's Jewel was even more dominant in a record-setting Prix Saint-Alary (G1) at Longchamp:

 

But she's been well beaten in her last two - an 11th from the far outside post in the French Oaks (G1) at Chantilly:

 

And most recently a ninth on Arc Day in the Prix de l'Opera (G1):
