2020 Belmont Stakes Odds

The morning-line odds for the Belmont Stakes are typically released following the post-position draw, held on the Wednesday of race week. For the last few years, the post position draw has taken place in the morning at either Belmont Park or a location in downtown Manhattan.

Eric Donovan is the current oddsmaker for the Belmont Stakes, and he has held the coveted position with the New York Racing Association (NYRA) since for over a decade since 2005.

Belmont odds and betting usually become available on BetAmerica and other platforms on Friday morning and throughout the day on Saturday.

The Belmont field is limited to a maximum of 16 starters. In recent years, the Belmont Stakes has attracted considerably fewer entrants than the maximum. The largest fields in recent memory include the 15 contenders in the 1983 Belmont, or the 14 entrants in 1996 and again in 2013. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Belmont Stakes is in the unprecedented position of being the 1st Triple Crown race of the season.
