Golden Gate 7 | 6:55 pm ET G2 San Francisco Mile for 3&Up going 1 mi (T)

The feature race at the Gate should unfold at a fast pace, which gives the long shot FAST TRACK a right to outrun his odds and win this Grade 2. FAST TRACK has some experience over the course, one win in six starts, and is now shipping in from Turf Paradise after three straight wins for trainer Molly Pearson. Pearson has not started a runner at the track since 2009, but has had some success in Southern California. He is definitely worth using in any exacta or trifecta wager. The aforementioned pace of the race comes from the two favorites, SUMMER HIT and HORIZONTALYSPEAKIN. SUMMER HIT comes off a five length win over the Polytrack and is looking to avenge his neck defeat in this race last year. He may; however, have lost a step, but it's not a big one. HORIZONTALYSPEAKIN ships up from Santa Anita for trainer John Sadler and will be pushing the pace from the time the gates open. This is a step up in class for the gelding and the only other time he ran in a graded stakes, he was beat just over nine lengths. HUDSON LANDING looks like a prime candidate to out run his morning line odds of 8-1. He is four-for-ten over the Golden Gate turf and is a Grade 3 winner over the Polytrack. He finished just three-quarters of a length behind SUMMER HIT last year in the Grade 3 All American and could be the trip horse. If he is bet down from that morning line, watch out.
