Time for the weekend to get started!  There’s no better place to watch the awesome greyhound action than the Palm Beach Kennel Club this afternoon.  Superstar JS SpeedyPebbles will go for career win #35 in Race 14, along with the top middle distance racers here going toe to toe in Race 15.

Here are the top races I will be following for the Matinee at “The Beach.”

Race 4 Grade TB 301 Yards

#7 Oh Mamma from owner Cheyenne Criswell finally gets a break from going against the top super sprinters in the country.

Usually matched up against KB’s Like A Fox or Bae Sang, Mamma is in a beatable field today in the drag race with a twist.  Two straight Place finishes against the best shows me she is in top form and ready to score a W today.

Biggest threat will come from #2 Go Bon Dillon, who gets a good inside position to fire from and is the class on the rail.

I plan on hearing track announcer Mike Jameson yell out “OOHHHHHH Mammmmaaaaaa” at the finish line for the win after this one.

Picks 7-2-1-4

Race 14 Grade A 545 Yards

The Queen of Palm Beach is ready to entertain her worldwide fan base this afternoon.

#7 JS SpeedyPebbles from owner Shannon Henry lost for the first time this season last race, so a rebound today is highly probable.  She currently has been in the Quinela in every race she has ran since April. That is remarkable consistency.

The only thing that could slow down Pebbles today is the abundance of early speed in this one.  #3 Wuh Chowt (pronounced Watch Out) from the North Shore Kennel and #1 Rica will all be near the front with Pebbles going around the turn.  Both are too light on the win percentage to go with for a win pick, but they both should be able to hit the board.

Not going against the track’s Alpha dog today. Pebbles gets back to her winning ways here.

Picks 7-1-2-3

Race 15 Grade TA 660 Yards

The race of the day without a doubt.

The top middle distance racers all are in the finale today.  #1 Budz Lava Girl from the Douglas Kennel will no doubt lead the pack to start. Has done this in 5 straight but only has been able to hold on for the W in one of those races.  That’s when you look at the program for closers who can run down this early blazer.

#7 Enkludid from the North Shore Kennel is exactly the closer to look for.  Just was ranked #10 in my July Palm Beach Rankings. He won both of his starts from the outside posts last month and has four wins already this season. Does his best work late in races.

Big question will be if #5 Superior Kissee can win her third straight?

Going with Enkludid  to take the win here to cap a fantastic Matinee card.
