Founding Director, United Greyhound Racing
Brad Boeckenstedt, owner and breeder of Boc’s John Luke, is looking forward to seeing how his greyhound will compete against the nation’s best travelling all the way from Iowa. “It was an honor to get an invitation. It is awesome to see people getting excited and the promotion of greyhound racing in a positive way."
Owner and breeder of one of the best at Palm Beach Kennel Club, Storm Control, Steve Schlachter expresses a similar viewpoint with Boeckenstedt. “Having been in the business for a long time, it will be nice to see greyhound friends gather for the challenge of winning and being a part of the first event. Thank you for your efforts United Greyhound Racing.”
To kick-off the weekend, United Greyhound Racing and Daytona Beach Kennel Club and Poker Room will host their Paws for a Cause dinner and silent auction fundraiser Friday, January 23, 2014. The event is vital to the greyhound industry as it supports local greyhound adoption agencies that home our retired athletes. For more information concerning the Paws for a Cause event, please contact Darlene Izzo at 45mphcouchpotatogrey@comcast.net.
Many thanks to the following event sponsors: BetAmerica, Health-Gard.com, The Pick Ladies, Florida Greyhound Association, Arkansas Greyhound Kennel Association, TrackData Systems, Red Wing Shoes – Toledo, Ohio, Brett Goucher, Steve Schlachter, Frino Racing, David Peck, Julia Ward, Smith Greyhounds Inc., Kenneth Biehle, and Norm Radar.
