A mandatory Rainbow 6 payout highlights the 12-race card at Gulfstream Park on Saturday. With an expected pool that could exceed $5 million, many handicappers will be taking a swing at a possible huge return. I have some horses of interest that I feel are worth including in the sequence (Races 7-12).

Race 7

Turf endeavor commences the wager and attracts an overflow field of 16. #5 Seven Channels (20-1) has upset potential for Lisa Lewis in a field lacking a standout. English Channel colt showed improvement when adding Lasix and stretching out most recently, and while the sophomore moves up in class today, he could be a major factor from off the pace with another forward move under Rajiv Maragh.

Race 8

The six-furlong dash for 3-year-olds has a field of eight. #1 Smash (15-1) is an interesting contender at a big number for Juan Alvarado. Son of Congrats has not shown much from a pair of recent races on the oval, but there are many angles that point to the bay running well today. Florida-bred cuts back in distance, drops in class, and he also should save ground behind a contested pace from the rail. His maiden win locally was huge, and he is worth inclusion beneath Zayas.

Race 10

#6 Just Us (10-1) makes his 2020 bow as a live runner who graduated on debut over the course. Cajun-bred son of Half Ours is working well for a heady layoff conditioner, and I envision the 4-year-old to be forwardly placed in a cast lacking an abundance of early zip. Regular pilot Luca Panici will be up.

Race 12

The finale will be contested at a mile on the main surface and a dozen will go postward. #1 Just Kidding (9-5) will be a single to close out the ticket for many, and the Joseph trainee looks imposing in this spot. By Kiss the Kid, the 8-year-old takes a big class drop off the claim, and he is the speed and class of the field from the rail. Bay has been first or second seven times on the surface, and I think the only thing that could derail his chances would be a poor break from the gate.
