Churchill Downs

Race 1

Blinkers are added to #7 Winning Moment (8-1), who showed some early run before fading to finish unplaced over 6 furlongs facing better in his debut at Keeneland last month. Son of Street Sense is a half-brother to three winners and trainer Calhoun wins with 20% of his second-time starters. Gelding should show more here under Saez, who has won with 13% of his rides for the barn in the past 60 days.

Gulfstream Park West

Race 5

Danny Gargan wins with 23% of his runners that have not raced for 46-90 days and saddles #11 Myamanoi (9-2), who was last seen finishing unplaced facing better at Saratoga in September. Dark bay finished a close fourth in the Dania Beach S. earlier this year at this distance for Garan, who has won with 23% of his runners since the beginning of this year. Son of Temple City can be along late with Vasquez in the saddle.

Race 7

#10 Hot Blooded (5-2) last raced when rallying from just off the pace to win the Proud Man S. at this distance at Gulfstream in August in his third outing and first start on turf. Trainer David wins with 20% of his runners that have not raced for 46-90 days and has won with 26% of his starters at this meet. Son of Declaration of War is out of a mare by Medaglia d’Oro and can be in good position throughout with Jaramillo retaining the mount.

Race 11

A competitive field for the Mazarine (G3) includes #4 Batyah (6-1), who tries an all-weather surface for the first time off a closing fifth-place finish in the Jessamine (G2) on grass at Keeneland last month in her second outing. Daughter of Pioneerof the Nile is a half-sister to Stellar Agent, who finished third in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1), and trainer Motion has won with four of his 16 runners at this meet. Dark bay can be closing late with Stein in the irons.

Race 5

Maidens on the main track include #6 The Big K (8-1), who was involved early before fading to finish sixth in his debut over the track and distance three weeks ago. Trainer Lynch wins with 25% of his second-time starters and has won with 22% of his runners at this meet. Son of Kantharos figures to be the one to catch with Acosta remaining aboard.
