Tim Holland has some value plays for Wednesday! Check out his selections for Turfway Park, Gulfstream Park, and Parx.

Gulfstream Park

Race 1

Maidens sprinting on grass include #7 Maiko (15-1), who showed early run before fading to an unplaced finish over this distance on the main track at Gulfstream West in October. That marked her second outing, and filly is likely best on turf being by Temple City and a half-sister to two turf winners. Bay can be in the early mix under Lopez, who has won with one of his last two rides for the barn.

Parx Racing

Race 8

#1 I’m Busy (8-1) rallied from off the pace to defeat easier over 5 1/2 furlongs last month, his first start since being claimed by Jamie Ness. Dark bay is now unbeaten in two starts on this oval and Ness connects with 23% of his runners that won last time out. Son of Birdstone should find another solid pace to stalk with Silvera remaining aboard.

Turfway Park

Race 5

Maidens on the all-weather surface include #9 Alice Jewell (20-1), a debuting daughter of promising young sire Upstart, whose offspring have won 18% of their first outings. Trainer Rider failed to win with his last 12 first-time starters, but has won at a 17% clip this year. Dark bay has been working well and is worth a look with Ouzts in the saddle.

Race 6

Plenty of early pace may help chances of #5 Miss Gossip (8-1), who comes off a fifth-place finish in an even effort over 5 1/2 furlongs on grass at Keeneland. Mare hit the board in three of her five previous starts on all-weather tracks, and her recent works include a sharp 4-furlong move in :46 for trainer Caramori, who wins with 13% of his runners making this surface change. Bay can be along late with Bejarano retaining the mount.

Race 8

#9 Good Alternative (12-1) makes her first start for trainer Reed off a closing third-place finish after a poor start in her debut over 6 furlongs at Woodbine in mid-October. Daughter of Alternation is a half-sister to two winners, and Reed wins with 19% of his runners that have not raced for 46-90 days. Dark bay can be along late with Esquivel riding.
