Race 4

Trainer Gorham wins with 14% of his second-time starters and saddles #6 Compass Point (9-2), who finished fourth in an even effort in his debut over 5 1/2 furlongs here last month. Son of good, young sire Liam’s Map is a half-brother to two winners and Gorham has won with 19% of his runners at this meet. Gelding can be forwardly placed throughout with Perez remaining aboard.

#1 Juluca (5-1) has a record of 3-1-2-0 on regular dirt and comes off a weakening fifth-place finish on the all-weather surface at Presque Isle last month. Daughter of Blame has won two of seven career starts for trainer Sheppard, who has won with 22% of his runners since the beginning of this year. Filly can be stalking a likely solid pace with Pennington in the irons.

Mahoning Valley

Race 6

#8 Drumbeg (10-1) makes her first start on this oval and was last seen when rallying from just off the pace to win at Thistledown in early September. Trainer Rone wins with 22% of his runners that won last time out and has won with six of his 13 runners at this meet. Filly has won three of seven career outings and can be running from just off the pace under Rivera, who has won with three of his last 10 rides for this barn.

Rivelli wins with 32% of his runners in maiden special weight events and won with one of his four starters at this meet. Gelding can be forwardly placed from the start with Oliveros riding.
