A field of eight high-quality turf performers will go postward in the Saturday feature at Saratoga on Saturday, the $500,000 Fourstardave H. (G1). The marquee event of a fine 11-race card has attracted some superb contenders, with the main players being horses that prefer to run from well off of the early pace. And with the likelihood of swift early splits, the big guns will receive the set up that they crave in order to put forth their best results.

#4 Casa Creed has reinvented himself to an extent in 2021 with a pair of closing tallies in grassy sprints, led by a big win in the Jaipur S. (G1) at Belmont Park last time out. The Bill Mott pupil was third in the race last campaign, and he will have a more honest chance down the stretch running at tired legs on Saturday.

The bay son of Jimmy Creed is a Grade 2 winner on the course following his triumph in the 2019 Hall of Fame S. (G2), and he smoked a bullet half-mile on the Oklahoma training surface in his most recent morning move, as well. Junior Alvarado will be in the silks atop the underrated five-year-old.

2019 champion #6 Got Stormy loves The Spa and finished a clear second in the contest last season. The Mark Casse-trained mare is not as consistent as she once was, but the classy chestnut reaches new heights when she gets to Saratoga, and I think that she will be in the mix late once again with Tyler Gaffalione in the controls.

Multiple Grade 1 victor #1 Raging Bull possesses a huge late kick on his best day and will be saving ground throughout from the rail for Chad Brown. The six-year-old son of Dark Angel is a multiple Grade 1 hero with a pair of wins on the course, as well as a second-place result in the race in 2019. Irad will be up.

#5 Set Piece is a stone closer that will get a class test in the Fourstardave. Trained by Brad Cox, the dark bay gelding rides in on a three-race win streak led by a score in the Wise Dan S. (G2) last time out. The Juddmonte homebred son of Dansili has never been better and will be dangerous if he runs to the rapid morning drill that he posted on Sunday.
