Older Pacers in Fine Form

At a trio of tracks on Saturday night, a quartet of older pacers proved to be in mid season form.

At Yonkers Raceway, Roland N Rock (Daniel Dube) notched his second straight sharp score and his third win in four starts over the New York half-mile oval. Roland N Rock led throughout to score in 1:52.2 against non-winners of $25,000 last five starts  one week after crushing non-winners of $18,000 last five company in 1:52.3.

One race earlier on the card, Justified (Eric Abbatiello) notched his third straight victory when he rallied third over and widest of all late to score in 1:53.2. Justified began his streak with a sharp, first over win and then overcame post eight to win 12 days ago.

That same night at Hawthorne Race Track, Ontario Success overcame post 10 and a first over trip to capture the $12,500 Open. Ontario Success won four of five starts at the meet and finished second in his lone setback at the Illinois oval.

That same night at The Meadowlands Ashley's Husband rallied from far back to nail Rockeyed Optimist in 1:50.2. It was the first win in four starts this year for Ashley's Husband while Rockeyed Optimist settled for second in his five-year-old debut.
