*Bae Sang*

Another exciting month of racing has been completed at the Palm Beach Kennel Club. We had a superstar retire in Bae Sang, who was one of the best super sprinters ever here, along with a still wide open track championship going on. Great action always at the top handling track in the country.

Here are the Top 10 Rankings for October at  “The Beach.”

#1 CRT Leyla ~ Sprinter ~ Champions Racing Team

~4 wins this month, 29.34 secs top time (tied for the best time of the season).

She’s got national attention starting to come her way and why not? Her huge win on Oct 24th  over Storm Control sealed it for me that she’s the top racer here. Rare combo of outstanding rush and lethal close.

#2 Storm Control ~ Sprinter ~ B & B Racing

~4 wins this month, 29.39 secs top time

The Spring Puppy Stakes Champ came back from a four month layoff on fire. 80% winner and is showing that patented early burn out of the box we are used to seeing. Besides Leyla, he has the best chance of representing Palm Beach at the BetAmerica National Championship in January.

#3 Nikita’s First ~ Super Sprinter ~ Janie Carroll Kennel

~4 wins this month, 16.55 secs top time. Current wins leader with 12.

With Bae Sang retiring and KB’s Like A Fox resting, there is no doubt “First” is the best super sprinter here.  Is there anybody that can challenge him right now?

#4 Surfin Lizzy ~ Sprinter ~ B & B Racing

~8 wins on the season, 29.42 secs top time.

Does owner Steve Schlachter have a nice duo here with Storm Control and Lizzy or what?

Lizzy won 8 of her first 9 starts here at Palm Beach and possesses one of the most dynamic closes of any racer at the track.

#5 Ninis Chipotle ~ Sprinter ~ Rader Racing

~10 wins, 29.58 secs best time this season.

Continues to be a force at Palm Beach for owner Laura Brady. “Chip” took home the Pink Award Feature Race on October 4th and has the best chance for Rader Racing to win another Track Championship this season.

#6 JS SpeedyPebbles~ Sprinter ~ Koppe, Staats & Collins Team

~9 wins, 29.45 secs best time this season.

Even superstars get tired. The “Queen of Palm Beach” is on a current rest break but should be back racing soon. Has one of the best breaks at the track when she is on. Unbelievable will to win.

#7 Ethel Is Here ~ Middle Distance Racer ~ Janie Carroll Kennel

~7 wins this season, 37.47 secs best time.

The newest sensation on the 3/8ths mile has burst on the scene this season. Currently owns the two top race times at Palm Beach for the 660. Look out for Ethel as we start talking about the Derby coming up in February.

#8 Kiowa Carmen ~ Sprinter ~ Royal Racing Team

~10 wins, 29.47 secs best time

The #1 racer last month struggled this month, with no wins and getting relegated to B Grade. Is currently resting and should come back stronger for the Winter season. Has the best inside rush of any greyhound at Palm Beach.

#9 KB’s Like A Fox ~ Super Sprinter ~ Rader Racing

~6 wins this season, 16.48 secs best time this season.

The 2013-2014 Track Champion is still trying to get going as this season rolls on. Fox better hurry back or Nikita’s First may just run away with this years championship on the super sprint course.

#10 PJ Smoke Em Out ~ Sprinter ~ Agganis Kennel

~9 wins, 29.64 secs best time this season.

The best lid popper in South FLA. If he develops any kind of closing speed, “Smokey” would be very hard to beat.

*One of the best super sprinters ever Bae Sang from Rader Racing retired at the beginning of this month. Still owns the super sprint record time of 16.38 secs, which he shares with former rival KB's Like A Fox. Look for a write up about the legend coming this week on the BetAmerica Extra.*
