Welcome to March: Gulfstream Park should be beautiful today, nothing but sunshine and a high of 78... that's perfect betting weather!

Race 5: N1X OC $62,500 4&up F&M going 1-1/6 mile (T)

8 – Profetiza – 4/1 – Jockey Luis Saez goes with this gal over Bella Castani.  It makes sense since she could be lone speed in this.  She barely finished behind Bella Castani in that Feb. 8 race and could easily turn the tables on her rival in this.

1 – Bella Castani – 3/1- This Cristophe Clement trainee finished second at this level going a mile over the Gulf turf on Feb. 8.  She gets another sixteenth of a mile to work with in this and should save all of the ground after breaking from post 1.  Leparoux’s a great turf rider.  If she doesn’t get stuck behind horses and he can find a seam, she could get to the finish line first.

3-Glamour ‘N Glory – 10/1 – This five-year-old-mare made a decent move in that Feb. 8 race to finish 2 ¾ lengths behind the winner.  She broke out of post 11 in that event.  The better post might be all that she needs to upset the top pair.

Race 9: G2 Swale Stakes 3yo going 7f

4-Prudhoe Bay – Could this race have set-up any better for this Songandaprayer colt trained by Edward Plesa?  The three speedballs in the race, Havana, Can’t Stop the Kid and No Nay Never, all break to the inside of this guy, which should set him up for a move to the wire.

3-No Nay Never – Wesley Ward trained this three-year-old to a win in the Grade 1 Darley Prix Morney in France last August.  He’s been training exceptionally well at Gulfstream Park and he’s out of Scat Daddy and broke his maiden over the dirt.  Picking up Javier Castellano to ride definitely helps.

scratched due to quarter crack: 1-Havana – 9/5 - The Todd Pletcher trainee lost the BC Juvenile by only 1 ¼ lengths after carving out a :45.1 half mile.  It’s incredible that Havana didn’t finish up the track.  He’d be the choice except there’s only so much that jockey John Velasquez can do with him from the rail  He has to send or Luis Saez on Can’t Stop the Kid figures to try and pin him and taking back and going around Can’t Stop the Kid and No Nay Never isn’t an option.
