Santa Anita 9 | 8:00 pm ET $20K Maiden Claimer for 3&Up going 5.5 furlongs

The finale on Sunday at Santa Anita is a head scratcher, seven of the 11 entrants are between 7-2 and 8-1 on the morning line. Going to try a price and bet on WARREN'S SUNNY BOY for trainer Jorge Gutierrez. The gelded son of Affirmative drops out of a state-bred special weight race down the hill and looks to have been working well over the dirt. The long negative is post ten, but jockey Agapito Delgadillo will be out hustling as soon as the gates open. Even though the race is short, it can still be won from off the pace. The early fractions should be swift, which will set things up for long shots STEALTH FIGHTER and TASHA'S COURAGE. The blinkers go on STEALTH FIGHTER and that may be enough to have him involved early. His speed figure increased significantly off a two month layoff and now has a near bullet on the tab. TASHA'S COURAGE will eventually break her maiden and is always at the mercy of the pace. Joe Talamo sticks with the gelding and he can win if the speed backs up. REAL DEAL APPEAL and SUPER REAGAN are coming off layoffs of a year and six months and if ready to roll will be tough. This is a spread race in any pick 3, pick 4 or pick 6 wager.
