With another Saturday card at Saratoga comes another guaranteed late Pick Four pool. This time, we're looking to take down a share of at least $500,000, much like last week (when this space produced a winning ticket of $222). Let's get to it!

RACE #8: This is a two-turn allowance for state-breds on turf. I'm going three-deep here, using #1 Point Roll (5/2), #2 Analysis (4-1), and #5 The Spotted Wonder (30-1).

Point Roll's last race was bizarre. He put forth a very strong middle move before fading to dead last, and that effort seems too bad to be true. Analysis ran second that day, and 30-1 bomb The Spotted Wonder needed his last race off a year-long layoff. Some improvement is conceivable, and this could have been a stronger spot.

RACE #9: The second leg of yet another all-turf Pick Four is a sprint for older fillies and mares. I'm going four-deep, using #1 Richies Sweetheart (5/2), #2 Kiss Me Lola (4-1), #5 Jitney (12-1), and #10 Ballerina Belle (7/2).

Kiss Me Lola is particularly interesting at her price. She has three top-two finishes in as many starts at this route, a route that many horses simply don't take to. There's plenty of speed to rate behind, and she should be coming late at a very fair price.

RACE #10: The Fourstardave will be without Wise Dan, but we've got a very evenly-matched field of six going postward. It's so evenly-matched that I'm using two-thirds of the field.

#1 Silver Max (9/5), #2 Seek Again (3-1), #3 Jack Milton (5/2), and #5 Sayaad (5-1) are all on my ticket. Jack Milton is my top pick, given that both Silver Max and Sayaad will likely want the lead. However, it's a fun race to dissect, even if the quantity is a little low.

RACE #11: Our finale is for maiden fillies and mares, and I've gone two-deep, including using a Christophe Clement trainee who is kin to a European champion.

#7 Trophee (3-1) makes her first start in America, and is a half-sister to Treve. She adds Lasix here, and if she runs to the ability she's hinted at in the past, she could be very tough to beat.

I'm also using #6 Forensic (5/2). Her race earlier this meet wasn't bad, and she should embrace the added distance she gets in this spot.

John Velazquez rides back for Shug McGaughey, and if she gets a pace to run at, Forensic figures to be a major player.

All told, this ticket is a $48 stab at that $500,000 guaranteed pool.

If you're playing it, best of luck!
