Race One:

1st: #2 STARSHIP MACYS – broke her maiden on the turf by nine lengths at Tampa Bay Downs, then came here for her Tapeta debut and ran well for six furlongs. Claimed that day by Nelson Figueroa, she was an even fourth and now drops down in class.

2nd: #5 ELLE M’A SOURI – has raced against much better company but she finally looks for class relief here for Matt Kintz, who wins 24% going long and 27% with Avery Whisman. This is the lowest class she has raced against.

3rd: #1 CROSSTOWN GIRL – rallied for third against cheaper in her Tapeta debut then was a good second against these.

Race Two:

1st: #8 STAR OF SHANGHAI – has three seconds and a third in four starts here this year off the long layoff. She moves up in class off the claim by Ryan Walsh and gets Erin Walker to ride. Offspring of Shanghai Bobby do well here.

2nd: #7 PURCHASE POINT – was a good second in her career debut against cheap maiden claimers at Churchill Downs then showed good speed in her first start off the claim by Nelson Figueroa as the odds-on favorite. Blinkers should put her on the lead.

3rd: #6 RAW HONEY – has had 11 chances to graduate but at least her last two were decent when blinkers were put back on.

Race Three:

1st: #5 ELSA’S ROCKET – was an even fourth in her career debut going 4 1/2 furlongs, then did little next out when blinkers were added. The daughter of Ghostzapper is out of a dam by Tapit so stretching out to two turns is within her genetic makeup.

2nd: #3 SWELTER – raced evenly in her career debut going five furlongs here and now stretches out for Tim Hamm, who wins 18% first time going long. The son of Tiznow is out of a dam by Bernardini, so is also bred to go long.

3rd: #2 BRUMBA WAFFLE TOES – did nothing in his first two career starts here but woke up last out with an improved effort.

Race Four:

1st: #1 YES IT’S ERIE – horse for the course was an improved second two starts back here then missed by a head with a wide rally. Randy Russell wins 12% with his claimers and he gets the red-hot Alberto Burgos – 27% together.

2nd: #6 DAVE’S TEXAS LADY – showed good speed two starts back against this claiming level, then missed by a length in a turf sprint at Mountaineer Park 16 days ago. Shelly Radosevich wins 18% with her claiming starters and 17% on synthetic tracks.

3rd: #3 AMAZON LIZZIE – horse for the course missed by a length from post one last out with Pablo Morales.

Race Five:

1st: #5 HONOR COLLECTION – has won three straight races here and amazingly was not claimed. He moved up to this level last out and rallied from off the pace to win going away for Ed Rojas, who wins 30% first start after a win.

2nd: #2 AULT – beat this claiming level by three lengths as the 6-5 favorite, then moved up in class off the claim by Shelly Radosevich. After getting beat at odds-on, the 10-year-old son of English Channel was a good third here when dropped back down.

3rd: #1 GAGE HAS A GRAY – ran against much better in Arizona then shipped here and ran well against these last out.

Race Six:

1st: #6 ONE MORE KELLY – broke her maiden here second time going long two starts back when she went gate to wire, then came back against this state-bred allowance level and was a good third as the 6-5 favorite for Tim Girten.

2nd: #2 LOVELY EVER AFTER – was a game second in her Tapeta debut then broke her maiden by over four lengths at this distance in fast time. She just missed against state-bred company last out for Tim Girten, who wins 29% after being beat as the favorite.

3rd: #3 ITALIAN TWIN – very inconsistent filly, tired 2 starts back on the dirt then improved here going two turns in her Tapeta debut.

Race Seven:

1st: #7 K C ROCKET – romped in his Tapeta debut her to break his maiden by three lengths, then came back with a good second behind a next-out winner. The son of Kantharos just missed last out for Bill Martin, who wins 17% with his allowance runners.

2nd: #2 GENERAL WINSTON – was a game second in his career debut behind the top choice in fast time, then came back and went gate to wire easy as can be. If he shows any more improvement he should be able the move up to winners.

3rd: #3 SPIRITED SOL – has won three straight strong races here including a sharp maiden win as the odds-on favorite last out.

Race Eight:

1st: #7 JACKSON STRONG – dropped down to this claiming level in his second start off the claim, then raced evenly when moved up in class. He drops back down here and should work out a stalking trip with Eddie Dominguez.

2nd: #1 SQUIRREL – speedball breaking from the rail won here in his first start off the long layoff, then was second against this level next time out. He moved up a notch in class last out and just missed with Addiel Ayala, who will break him running.

3rd: #6 DORISTO – was a game third from post one two starts back then beat cheaper last out with Rocco Bowen aboard.
