3rd: #1 ALGODONAL – made her lone Tapeta start here four starts back then moved up in class at Mountaineer Park.

Race Two:

1st: #7 CORAL LEGACY – faded in his Tapeta debut here in his second start of the year then moved way up in class on the turf at Mountaineer Park. He dropped back down in class here last out and was a good second after leading into the stretch.

2nd: #3 WHISKYFORBREAKFAST – rallied wide in his Tapeta debut two starts back then ran about the same race last out. He drops down to bottom-level claimers for Tina Ramgeet, who wins 17% with husband Andrew.

3rd: #5 CASK – drops to the lowest class level he has faced. He was a good third two starts back then did nothing on the turf.

Race Three:

1st: #2 MIDNIGHT FROST – beat better three starts in a row on the turf at Mountaineer Park then was an even third there as the odds-on favorite. She shipped here and was a good third when dropped to this claiming level. Eddie Jurado gets the mount back.

2nd: #3 BOURBON BLAST – beat better three starts back by a nose going this distance. She was outrun when moved up in class but missed by a head behind the top choice when dropped back down. Joe Cheeks wins 14% with his overall claimers.

3rd: #6 SWEET MOOCHIE – one-dimensional closer has had some decent efforts going this distance against this class level.

Race Four:

1st: #2 SCHIFFHAUER STRONG – ran great in his career debut going five furlongs and missed by a head at long odds. He came back with an even second and now stretches out again from a better post. Mike LeCesse wins 14% on synthetic tracks.

2nd: #3 SOUPER BLESSING – first-time starter from Mike Trombetta, who wins 10% with his debut runners and 16% against this maiden level. Son of Temple City is out of a dam that has produced three winners from three other foals to race.

3rd: #6 FALK – made a decent middle move in his well-bet career debut for Tim Hamm, who wins 13% second time out.

Race Five:

1st: #3 STARSHIP MACYS – beat this level two starts in a row showing high speed going two turns. She was claimed two starts back and tired after six furlongs last out against open allowance foes. She drops back down in class for Mike Pappada.

2nd: #5 RUNAWAY BREEZE – ran fourth against cheaper going six furlongs but somehow moved up to this claiming level going two turns and won by over eight lengths. Kevin Rice wins 19% with his overall claimers, and they show a flat-bet profit.

3rd: #7 A REAL HERO – beat these three starts back then came back to run well after being claimed by Tim Hamm.

Race Six:

1st: #1 FLAWLESS BOURBON – was in great form over the winter on the turf at Tampa Bay Downs. He showed decent speed here last out and draws well. Amazingly, Aldana Spieth wins only 3% (1-for-35) when she uses Scott Spieth.

2nd: #5 HARD COUNT – when he’s good, he runs away and hides just like his sire, Run Away and Hide. He tired in his last two starts against similar for Mark Hoffman, who wins 19% going long and uses his main man, Antonio Gallardo.

3rd: #4 HEIRLOOM KITTEN – ran well against open allowance foes his last two starts with Pablo Morales.

Race Seven:

1st: #3 CARROTHERS – was a sharp winner two starts back on the Tapeta at Gulfstream Park then went to Canada and competed against Grade 3 stakes winners. Kent Sweezey wins 14% going long, and Antonio Gallardo picks up the mount.

2nd: #4 GROUNDED – speedball went gate to wire here three starts back then was run down next time out. He battled for six furlongs before stopping in a stakes race here last out and drops back to a more realistic class level for Tim Hamm.

3rd: #1 DRIFTWOOD – speedball breaking from the rail always seems to run well against this claiming level.

Race Eight:

1st: #8 NOTACATBUTACARD – dropped down to this claiming level two starts back and won easily in a long sprint. He chased the pace last out when moved up in class and now drops back down for Mark Hoffman, who wins 18% with his overall claimers.
