Race 1 Post Time: 3:30 pm ET Race 4 Post Time: 5:01 pm ET

Race 4: Maiden special weight going nine furlongs on the turf with stretch out runner TOMMY'S STYLIN the 2-1 morning line favorite. Big jump from six and one-half down the hill to this distance so going to side with PANTERA ROJO, the third choice on the morning line. She is by a Grade 1 winner on the turf and is coming off a good third place finish earlier this month. KOZANI also goes sprint to route, but finished second in a mile race in December. Bigger tickets will want to include long shots SUDDEN RUMOR and LIFE'S JOURNEY.

Race 5: TIZ VEGAS has the look of a typical Peter Miller winner, shipping in from New Mexico and dropping way down in class. HOLIDAY N NEWPORT is the filly to beat while FUNNY GAL will be doing her best running late.

Race 6: BIG MEDICINE MAN is probably not going to find a better field than this to break his maiden. He drops from the maiden special weight ranks and his two turf races will be good enough to score here. STREET MAVEN could be a good claim for Doug O'Neill, who switches the gelding to the turf and picks up jockey Rafael Bejarano. BERTRANE will improve in his third career start.

Race 7: This year's $75,000 Santana Mile Stakes has speed duel written all over it with APPEALING TALE and FURY KAPCORI, the two just absolutely blitzing their rivals this year. CAT BURGLAR should be sitting in the sitting in the garden spot just off the top two. CLUBHOUSE RIDE is the late threat.

Race 8: POWER PED may have been best last time, but, after breaking from post eight, had to go wide down the stretch while race winner Joelito saved all the ground at the rail. In two spots could make the difference. READY FOR MORE has a chance to upset on the front end and could get brave if left alone. If the blinkers can somehow turn things around for MONASTIC then he looks like the right long shot to wager on. He has made the pace in his last three starts in Southern California, but offered no response late.

Race 9: Trainer Kristin Mulhall is winless in her 39 starts this year, but the 40th time can be the charm when she sends out the fast working SWEET HEAT in the Sunday finale. Her sire, Heatseeker, won the Big 'Cap over the track, but SWEET HEAT debuts at five furlongs. ROCKIN COWGIRL looks second best and could be worth including on any pick-4 wager. NUEVA FORTUNA would merit consideration for the upset if not for drawing post ten.
