The Freddie Head-trained Solow angled into the clear near the top of the stretch and parlayed a lethal turn of foot into a most facile tally in the $6 million Dubai Turf.

The five-year-old son of Singspiel, who had the widest post in the 10-horse field, was always where pilot Maxime Guyon wanted and when the veteran rider asked, it was pretty much a race for the minor spoils.

The French homebred notched his first Grade 1 tally in this electrifying run, perhaps the most impressive winner on the all-star program.

Solow gave conditioner Freddie Head his first win in Dubai and the horse could provide a boost stateside as connections hinted that the dynamo could be Keeneland-bound for the Breeders’ Cup Turf in the fall, stating their intentions before this dominating performance.

Head gave further big praise for the ever-improving sort, stating “He is one of the best I have trained.”

That’s high praise from an outstanding horseman who has handled some superstars in his time.
