SOUTHLAND Preview - Saturday evening, November 28
Welcome to another Saturday evening of entertaining and exciting greyhound racing at Southland as there are 18 races on tap for your viewing and wagering pleasure. I hope everyone had a very happy and safe Thanksgiving holiday. As many of you know who follow MoneyMaker Mike's Southland previews, from time to time I like to go outside the box with picks and predictions and for this evening I will monitor a couple of greyhounds who are going for three straight wins. I did this a few months back and I was surprised to see that only a few were able to make it three wins in a row during that study. As always I will post the results of how these greyhounds did and see if we can come up with any trend when it comes to winning streaks. Good luck to all and thanks for reading.
Race 1 - 334 yards - Grade TAA - VOLANDO SARENA - 5 box - She's a hard running greyhound with a strong early rush and is coming off 2 straight wins but may find it tough to get three in a row as she's starting between several good early speed runners. Still, 2 wins in a row bears consideration and she has shown to be able to run good from anywhere on the track. If she can avoid trouble at the break and then find some running room around the turn I won't be surprised to see her battling once again for the win.
Race15 - 583 yards - Grade AA - WINTA JACKAL - 7 box - Here is an inside runner who is also going after 3 in a row after getting 2 wins back to back in B and then A grade. She's got a lot tougher competition in this one however and will need to hit the lid quickly and be among the early frontrunners to have a shot at this one. This is a very strong field with some solid top grade greyhounds so making it 3 straight wins for her will be a challenge.
