Thursday's twilight card at SOUTHLAND features 4 races in which several greyhounds will be trying hard to keep their winning streaks going as they battle paw to paw from start to finish. Several of you have asked for some different angles to look at and during the month of June MONEYMAKER MIKE will showcase some of the greyhounds who are on winning streaks of two or more. Good luck to everyone and thanks for reading. Race 5 - Going for her 4th straight win is LUCIA who has moved up from Grade D to Grade A in her last 3 starts. She has mostly an inside running style but can run mid track as well and in her last 3 wins, she's shown both exceptional early speed to go along with a strong closing run and though the competition will be tough in A grade, don't count her out. She will be breaking from the 4 box.

Race 8 - In this 660 yard distance race we have 2 greyhounds that will be going for their 3rd straight win. In the 6 box is POKEMON EPISODE, he's an inside runner but his last two wins have come from the 6 and 8 box and he's shown very good early speed in both those races. In the 8 box we have FLYING TIGERBABY who is another rail runner with decent early speed and just two races ago ran a blistering time of 36.44 over this course. If she can avoid early trouble she should certainly be a threat to make it 3 in a row.

Race 9 - Here we have C VILLE NERKLE who is also going for his 3rd straight win having won Grade A and AA races in his last two starts. Both of these wins have come on the 583 yard course on which he runs this race and he should be ready to go here from the 1 box.

Race 16 - In the 8 box here we have WW's LION KING going for his 3rd straight victory and he's posted well for his mid-track running style. He probably won't be quick out of the box but he's more then capable of a very strong rush to the turn to put him near the front so even though this is a Grade B contest, he still deserves consideration.

Good luck to everyone and thanks for reading.
