Welcome to another Wednesday twilight card of exciting greyhound racing at Southland as there are 18 entertaining races on tap for our viewing and wagering pleasure. As most of you who follow the Southland preview blog may know, from time to time I like to go outside the box to try and give different viewpoints and perspectives of greyhound racing. Over the next couple of weeks I am going to concentrate on greyhounds that have drawn the same box at least 3 times in a row and see how they do and if that gives them any extra edge that the wagering public could use to their benefit. This will include schooling races so if a greyhound has the same post position in a schooling contest and then draws that same box in an official contest it will count for this study. Keep in mind that on some programs there may not be any  selections to be made but on others, there might be several that meet that definition. Remember that these are greyhounds that fit the criteria above and on which MoneyMaker Mike will base the selections. As always, I will give a recap of the results when the study is finished. Good luck to everyone and thanks for reading.

Race 2 - 583  yards - Grade B - CRT TOMMY HEARNS - box 7 - His first race since dropping back to  Grade B could give him a shot at a money finish in this one, last two efforts from the 7 box resulted in a 4th  and 8th place finish.

Race 6 - 583 yards - Grade C - WP'S ROAD KING - 4 box - Post position for this mid to wide runner may not be the ideal spot but if he can hit the lid and avoid early trouble, his chances improve a good bit.

Race10- 583 yards - Grade AA - LN THE MAYOR - 7 box - At 7-1 on the program, he's not getting a lot of respect but he does have two wins and a second place effort in his last six races in this class. In fact, last time out from this same 7 box he impressed with a furious rally down the stretch to get the win.

Race14- 660 yards - Grade B - RUSH MORE - box 6 - Third straight race from the 6 box, he finished 5th and 6th beaten by double digit lengths in both. Both races were on a slow track and he has been as high in grade as AA so let's see what happens here.

Good luck to all.
